This may not really seem effective as she is better off doing the one extra crit shot. If you have an Arbalest (or what it is spelled I can never spell that thing right lol) she can cast her flare and remove the marking from your heros. This /is/ in fact guiding the Swine King as canonly, the Swine King is blind. Wilbur either - Marks one or Marks two of your party. He sort of directs the attacks but not also he doesn't really direct the princes attacks at all.Īll Wilbur really does is apply the mark debuff onto certain characters each turn and if the prince happens to attack said marked characters it will just do more damage but the prince doesn't always attaked the marked ones and sometimes will attack ones that are not marked at all but, still more often than not he does target them if they are marked. Now if you crit and kill Wilbur first turn before you get to test it. In the Apprentice dungeons Enraged Destruction doesn't usually do so much damage that it will kill off your party so making the mistake once shouldn't be the end of the fight for you unless you were already in a rough spot. Things like Wilbur always moving first, almost all his attacks being themed around directing Swine Prince, the fact that SP will always and without fail use his rage move on you after you target Wilber with any kind of ability, that SP has no eyes, that (like Morrtanius said) your heroes' barks will tell you to not hit him again and sometimes (if I remember right) tell you before you even attack him. Granted when you're new it's not always obvious and you haven't encounted many bosses by that point, but they're definitely there. You just have to guess it or try it which kinda sucks.Īs you play more there are a lot of things that point to him being a big part of the boss fight and not just an additional mob. that indicate wilbur should survive or else the prince goes crazy. There is no indication on any of them like thier attack types etc. Makes me a little giddy to see the nerd rage threads :) It is fun to be reminded of DD gameplay when players don't know how to successfully beat a specific boss.
